Morse Street School houses our youngest students in RSU 5. We offer a half-day public Pre-K Program for students who turn 4 by October 15 of the school year. In addition to that, we have five kindergarten classrooms, five first grade classrooms, and five second grade classrooms for a total enrollment of roughly three-hundred and ten. RSU5 Community Programs also provides before and after care.
Morse Street School provides a balanced developmental program for our students recognizing their need to play and learn from social interactions with an appropriate academic focus on literacy and numeracy. Our students benefit from specialized instruction in art, music, physical education, S.T.E.M., and library skills. We have a fully staffed special education department for students with learning challenges. Families volunteer on a regular basis and also are very active in our Parent Teacher Club which raises funds for enrichment activities.
